Having spent the last seven years heading up the Accountancy and Finance Division at Rutherford Briant, James has become an expert supporting businesses across their finance functions. Working closely with leadership teams to appoint high-quality professionals from qualified accountants through to senior finance roles. James’ background in recruitment has given him a strong understanding of how finance teams are structured and how they evolve as organisations grow.

James focuses on building long-term relationships with clients, taking time to understand their business model, growth plans and the specific challenges they are looking to solve. This allows him to provide considered, market-informed advice around structure, capability gaps, succession planning and hiring strategy.

James has experience working across a range of sectors within the SME, mid-market space as well as global listed businesses, supporting both permanent and strategic appointments.
