A Top 20 Firm with offices in Peterborough are looking for a driven and ambitious Accounts Semi-Senior to support their growing and friendly team, paying a salary of up to £32,000. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, predominantly within the agricultural and Food Sector and opportunities to work in other diversified sectors.
As an Accounts Semi-Senior you will be preparing statutory and partnership financial statements, assisting clients with queries in respect of accounting and taxation matters, updating client systems to align with signed accounts.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Semi-senior, you will…
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards from source documents/records to final accounts for review by the appropriate manager.
- Prepare accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements.
- Liaise with clients directly or through relevant managers to resolve queries or obtain further information.
- Ensure that all hours worked on assignments are correctly recorded.
Requirements:
As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will need…
- AAT level 3 or 4, ACCA, or ACA.
- Strong practical knowledge/experience of accounts preparation with at least three years. experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Experience of work within an Agricultural or associated background is preferred.
- Basic tax knowledge - awareness of how to do tax computations, PAYE, VAT.
