Our client is a global manufacturing business looking to expand their procurement function to support continued growth. The team is medium in size, and it is likely you will have line management responsibilities leading a team of buyers and coordinators.
Please note that this is an office-based role in Basildon, Essex.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of a portfolio of materials and goods
- Influence key internal stakeholder relationships to drive delivery of group purchasing objectives
- Deliver KPI’s relating to cost, cash, quality and service delivery
- Negotiate with a variety of international suppliers
- Manage and develop various team members
- Continuously analyse data to act upon market intelligence
- Minimise risk to continuity of supply
Requirements:
- Preference is for someone to be CIPS Qualified
- Team management experience
- Manufacturing sector experience is a must as is a background in sourcing from both the Far East and Europe
